Six Days • 60 Hours • One Focused Trip to Pelham

Pelham’s 60-Hour Paramedic Recertification Intensive is designed for Paramedics who want to complete the continuing education hours required by the National Registry NCCP model in one concentrated in-person program.

The course combines current Paramedic education with patient cases, skills, clinical decision-making, and scenario-based training.

This is not an online CE package moved into a classroom.
Students will be expected to think, participate, discuss, practice, make decisions, and manage patients throughout the six-day program.

The 60-Hour NCCP Structure

The current National Registry Paramedic recertification model requires 60 continuing education hours:
• 30 hours — National Component
• 15 hours — Local/State Component
• 15 hours — Individual Component

Pelham’s 60-Hour Paramedic Recertification Intensive is designed to provide 60 hours of EMS-related continuing education addressing this structure.
Because Local/State requirements can vary, students should verify whether their state, region, employer, or medical director requires particular content within those hours. NREMT considers Local/State hours flexible when no specific local content is required.

Why 60 Hours at Pelham?
There are easier ways to collect CE hours.
This course is for providers who want to use those hours.

Students review current medicine and then apply it through patient cases, medication problems, ECG interpretation, skills, discussions, and complete patient-care scenarios.

The goal is to finish the week with more than a stack of continuing education certificates.
The hours count. The training should too.

Who Should Attend?

The 60-Hour Paramedic Recertification Intensive is designed for:

  • Nationally Registered Paramedics completing continuing education for recertification
  • Paramedics who prefer to complete a large portion of their CE requirements in one concentrated program
  • Providers returning to active Paramedic practice
  • Experienced Paramedics who want a substantial clinical review
  • Paramedics traveling from outside the area who prefer one scheduled training period rather than multiple smaller courses

A Note for Indiana Paramedics

National Registry and state licensing requirements are not always identical.
The National Registry currently requires 60 continuing education hours for Paramedic recertification.

Indiana currently requires 72 hours of continuing education for Paramedic renewal, including 48 hours of approved refresher or equivalent education plus additional continuing education and other requirements.

Indiana-licensed Paramedics should therefore review current Indiana requirements when planning their state renewal.
Pelham can provide documentation of the education completed during this course.

Some portions of the course are physically active.
Students may be required to lift or carry equipment, kneel, work close to the ground, move patients or training equipment, and participate in indoor or outdoor scenarios.

Students must be able to participate safely in required course activities, with reasonable accommodations when applicable.
